Ann C. Moynihan
Ann C. Moynihan is the founder of Documentation Strategies, now known as docstrats, and has led the company’s growth from a one‑person freelance operation to a multi‑million‑dollar corporation employing more than 30 people. Her focus helped to develop the company into a well‑respected information, technology and training firm specializing in content management and IT consulting.
Ann has broad experience in management, business, communication and writing, complemented by a strong technology background and experience as a research biologist. She is responsible for setting the primary goals and objectives of Documentation Strategies, ensuring ROI and representing the company to the business and financial community, major customers and the public.
A graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a master’s in technical writing, Ann also earned a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in English from The College of Saint Rose.
In 2011, Ann was appointed by New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo to the Capital Region Economic Development Council and continues to play an active role on the council. She is a member of the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber Commerce and Center for Economic Growth boards of directors and the Forum for Executive Women. She is a senior member of the Society for Technical Communication and past president of the Mohawk Chapter.
